GEOLOGICAL HERITAGE REPORTS

The Heritage subcommittee of the Victorian division of the Geological Society of Australia, produces a number of reports describing sites and features of geological heritage significance for each of the 1:250 000 Victorian geological sheet areas.

Reports have been completed for the Ballarat, Bendigo, Colac, Horsham, St Arnaud, and Melbourne sheet areas (shown in green on above map). Reports in progress include those for the Queenscliff, Warragul, Warburton, Wangaratta, Tallangatta, Sale, Portland, and Hamilton sheet areas. Other reports that are not directly related to particular mapsheet areas are undertaken periodically.
